011: AWAKE! Podcast – How to Cure “Epic Shit Syndrome”

What is “Epic Shit Syndrome?”

This episode, I define it as the need to search outside of ourselves for something “epic” in order to validate ourselves or our lives.

I share how it affects our lives through causing us to become over-achievers and constantly striving for more.

Finally, I share the cure. Be sure to catch the post expanding on this idea later this week. Also, please share this podcast episode on FB and Twitter. Thanks!

  • Hi Steve. I think that your podcast doesn’t play that is why I cannot hear the topic you want to share in you blog. However, it is nice to be back and visit your site again.

that is strange, TracyAnn. I double checked it and the podcast is loading. Hope you can hear it now.

      • Hi Steve! Maybe the connection in our country makes the Podcast load slow. I hear it now. Such lovely podcast you have shared again. Hope I can get more podcast to your website.

  • Wow Steve! This is really awesome. The podcast is just great. The message is clear and helpful and sounds very professional (loved the intro). I am downloading it to hear it again while jogging.

Hi, Gustavo! I was thinking about you the other day and realizing it’s been WAAAY too long since I stopped by to say hi. So I appreciate you checking out my podcast and commenting. THanks for the encouragement. The intro was recorded by a guy I found on Fiverr…I was glad with the way it turned out. You can subscribe to my podcast page on iTunes. I keep the episodes short (about 15 minutes) so people can do exactly what you said…listen when exercising or while on the train or something. Glad you enjoyed it. If you have a minute, would you post a review on iTunes? I’d appreciate it as I’m trying to build credibility there so more people will find the podcast.

      • No problem! It might take a little time because I don’t have am itunes account but it’s something I was going to fix anyway.

  • You touch on several topics here from realism, to believe in self, and more! A must listen for all of us because like you mentioned, we ALL have gone through this (some of us still in the midst!). Finally got a chance to listen to this one and glad I did! Sharing… 🙂

    • Awww…thanks so much for taking time to listen and share! Appreciate your sentiments.

This topic is nice, this is the first time I heard this kind of syndrome and I can’t believe that It’s possible. Thank you for sharing this. We are now aware about this. 🙂

    • This “syndrome” is not a real medical syndrome, but I’m using this term as hyperbole to emphasize what I observe many people doing trying to be more out of a sense of lack or less.
